Phase 1

The phase 1-composting means mixing, wetting and fermentation of the natural ingredients in accordance with the strictest environmental standards, whether or not this takes place in a closed bunker. Partly for environmental reasons, indoor composting in aerated floors is an increasingly common choice.

By investing in an aerated floor or a complete air conditioning system, the process is faster and the air conditioning can be automated, resulting in a constant and improved quality of the compost, which ultimately yields a higher productivity or profitability.

Years of experience have led to Lemmen using phase 1 bunkers, as well as turnkey project execution, and the separate components, such as air filtration systems, bunker doors or spigot floors can now also be delivered and installed. Obviously, this is always discussed with the client, and the result is “custom made.”

Phase 2/3

With years of experience in designing and building composting tunnels, we know that you are better off choosing a lightweight concrete construction. The great advantage here is that you obtain an even better insulation, and therefore you save on energy costs.

We ensure that the optimum climate is achieved and maintained in the tunnels. This is all done to ultimately produce a more consistent and improved compost, which will ultimately yield a higher productivity or profitability.

Lemmen can execute phase 2/3 tunnels as well as turnkey projects, as well as supply and install the separate components. Obviously, this is always discussed with the client, and the result is “custom made.”

Growing cells

A mushroom farm is distinguished by a relatively low building that has a row of large doors. Behind those large doors are long, dark rooms, which are the growing cells.

Lemmen can execute the growing cells as well as turnkey projects, as well as supply and install the separate components. Obviously, this is always discussed with the client, and the result is “custom made.”
