For the last 15 years, Lemmen has been providing facilities to all of the big names in the mushroom industry. Lemmen started off as a very small company. In 1994, Jack Lemmen started his own business in his parents’ barn. There he built his first climate units. Lemmen’s quality appeared to be appreciated by his clients because after one year the very first employee was hired. Because of the large workload and the volumes his father and mother often compared Lemmen with the film “La Zizanie” by Louis de Funes.
The trend continued and after about 3 years Lemmen moved from the barn behind the family home a professional facility. After 4 years this facility became too small. In the year 2000 the first part of the current premises was constructed.
Meanwhile, Lemmen continued to grow. This growth was reflected in the number of employees. After 15 years the workforce consists of approximately 30 employees. The low staff turnover shows that their staff is of paramount importance to Lemmen. Various employees have celebrated their anniversaries within the company, where they can look back to an exciting and wonderful career. They hope to continue to work for Lemmen for a long time.
Lemmen has always carried out large-scale projects worldwide. These projects were carried out in The Netherlands, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Poland, Spain, Italy, China, Canada and the United States.
The secret of Lemmen: quality, customization, commitment and good service after sales. Lemmen may be a “small” company from Venlo but is a big player in the world of the mushroom industry.
